FROM RIO MAIOR TO GOLD AND SILVER IN THE 28TH SEA GAMES

Young triathletes from Philipines won medals in the 28th Southeast Asian Games after long training camps in the Desmor – Rio Maior Sports Centre.

Young triathlete Bryan Huelgas Niko won the first men's gold medal for the Philippines in Southeast Asian Games, winning with a time of 2:04:32 while Marion Kim Mangrobang won the silver medal with a time of 2:13:08.

In the last year these two athletes made their preparation in Rio Maior with Sergio Santos, one of the world´s best triathlon experts, who works in the Desmor – Rio Maior Sports Centre as the technical director for our high performance department. 

The triathletes from Philipines made their preparation with a resident high level training group in Rio Maior. The group is of different nationalities, including olympic athlets.

Also from the Philippines, the triathlete Claire Adorna, won the gold medal, having made in 2014 a season of three months in Rio Maior, where she prepared for the Asian Games.
