HELEN JENKINS IN RIO MAIOR

For several years the Desmor – Rio Maior Sports Centre was been chosen by some of the world´s best triathletes to realize their training camps. Many athletes and National teams from Portugal, Brazil, Great Britain, Russia, Philippines, Ukraine, Chile, Israel, have made their preparation in Rio Maior in the past 10 years for long periods of time.

This month, between 13th and 26th some of the best triathletes of the Grat Britain National team returned to our Sports Centre to develop some intense preparation focused in the ITU World Series scheduled for Edmonton and Chicago in the next weeks.

Included in this group there was Helen Jenkins ITU World Champion in 2008 and 2011, one of the most competitive athletes of the present days. Helen represents Great Britain at the Olympics and Wales in the Commonwealth Games and for the Olympic Games in the next year she is one of the strongest candidates to the medals.

This wasn´t it´s first time in the Desmor – Rio Maior Sports Centre. In 2010 Helen had already been in Rio Maior, together with other Great Britain triathletes like Jonathan Brownlee.
