JORGE MIGUEL WAS AWARDED BY EUROPEAN ATHLETICS

This prize is awarded annually to coaches of senior athletes gold medals in the European Championships and coaches who have contributed to the development of the sports.

Jorge Miguel is one of the most recognized coaches in race walking, being responsible for athletes as Susana Feitor, João Vieira, Sergio Vieira, Inês Henriques and Vera Santos, which are part of the Portugal national team, and have aimed top results at an international level.

Currently Jorge Miguel works in Rio Maior with a new generation of athletes such as Miguel Carvalho, Miguel Ribeiro and Mara Rodrigues. This athlets are the future of portuguese race walking.

Since many years Jorge Miguel has been the technical director of the Rio Maior International Race Walking Grand Prix.
