MOTIVATING LECTURE FOR THE YOUNG SWIMMERS BY COACH VASCONCELOS RAPOSO

Last Friday, on 20 October, coach Vasconcelos Raposo gave a speech to the young swimmers of the High Performance Swimming Centre.

He talked to the swimmers about the importance of conscientious preparation for achieving the best performance in swimming. He also spoke about his experience related to training and gave some important advices to the group of swimmers residing in the Desmor Rio Maior Sports Centre. This was a very positive session, appreciating the hard work that has been carried out by the coaches of the sports centre.

Vasconcelos Raposo is one of the most respected Portuguese coaches. He was a swimming coach, helping swimmers to qualify for many national, European and World championships, including the Olympic Games.

He is the author of several books about the methodology of training, published in Portugal and Spain. He also received several awards, praises and honourable mentions for his great career and experience in Portugal and abroad.
