RIO MAIOR AND NAZARÉ SHARE EXPERIENCES IN THE MANAGEMENT OF SPORTS

On March 29, the Mayor of Nazaré, Walter Chicharro visited the Desmor Rio Maior Sports Centre and the University of Sports with a view to exchange experiences and share good practices in sports management. In the Sports Complex he was welcomed by the Mayor of Rio Maior, Isaura Morais and the CEO of Desmor, Diva Cobra, in a visit that was also attended by the President of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, Jorge Justino and the Director of the University of Sports of Rio Maior, João Moutão.

It should be recalled that both municipalities have shared experience in the management of sport for a long time, as both of them have high performance sport centres. While in Rio Maior the Sports Centre is very focused on swimming, in Nazaré there is a surf centre.

It is hoped that this visit may initiate future cooperation in the field of sport, and may also involve the components of tourism, health and quality of life in the future.
