U20 AGAIN IN RIO MAIOR

The national team head coach Edgar Borges called 24 players to a training camp starting in February 18th until February 20th, that aims to check out the players that have been detached in the national competitions. Without some of best team players, Edgar Borges explained it in Portuguese Federation Website that “the objective is to give a chance to the football players that have shown a great performance during the national championship season”.

The national under-20 football team will compete in the World Championship 2013 in Turkey, which will be held from June 21th to July 13th, 2013.

Last week the national under-19 women´s football team was in Rio Maior. This was the 1st  of three training camps to prepare for the European qualification.

On Wednesday February 13th this team played a unofficial match with Núcleo Sportinguista of Rio Maior, on the natural grass nº 2.

The national head coach José Paisana was pleased with the result on a four days training camp, witched serve to prepare the match with the Switzerland national team, scheduled for March.

This national team returns to Rio Maior for another training camp next week, which will be held from February 25th to February 28th.
