UKRAINE DEAFLYMPIC SWIMMING TEAM IN THE RIO MAIOR SPORTS CENTRE

On March 21, the Secretary of State of Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, Ana Sofia Antunes, was in Rio Maior, to visit the Ukraine Deaflympic Swimming Team.

This team is at the Rio Maior Sports Center under the established protocol between the Portuguese Swimming Federation, the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth, the Rio Maior Sports Centre and the Municipality of Rio Maior.

Before arriving in Rio Maior, the national team was holding a training camp in Funchal, preparing for the Deaflympic Games in Brazil, to be held from 1 to 15 May. They were surprised, on 24 February, by the invasion of his country.

The Portuguese directors had this meeting with the purpose to understand the best ways to support the team of Ukraine for the Deaflympic Games in Brazil and after that.

On their behalf, the team managers thanked for all the support they have been having since their arrival in Portugal.
