The Portugal National Women's Water Polo Team ensured the qualification for the European Championships to be held in Belgrade, Serbia, in January 2016, at the Desmor - Rio Maior Sports Centre.
The players ensured their presence at the final of a European competition after three games, in the Rio Maior Olympic Pool, after three games. There they showed to be a great team. With that qualification, Portugal will return to the elite after 19 years.
It was a privilege for Rio Maior to host this qualifying round. The games took place in the presence of a large number of spectators. The competition was organized by the Portuguese Swimming Federation, in partnership with the 'Ligue Européenne de Natation', the Rio Maior City Hall and the Desmor – Rio Maior Sports Centre.
During the event the teams stayed in our Sports Centre.
