The Portuguese National Handball team U 21 will be in the XVIII World Championship Greece, from 17th to 31st July.
The preparation to that competition comprises two training camps in Rio Maior. Last week in the first training camp the young players were subject to some physical tests: evaluation of body composition, heart rate monitoring and evaluation of training intensity by crop lactate. In these tests were used some of the Rio Maior Sports Centre technological equipments.
Before departing for Greece the delegation, will be back in Rio Maior this week.
For that important competition, the national coach Rolando Freitas takes 16 players with good expectations. Portugal will play the first phase of the World in Group D along with Sweden, Spain, Hungary, Iran and Canada.
