THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR THE SUMMER

The outdoor swim pools season at the Rio Maior Spoprts Centre came to an end on September 11, 25. Since opening on June 15, there were 21,926 entries over 88 days, which corresponds to an average of 249 visitors per day. On 12 days, the maximum capacity was reached.

The Outdoor Pools once again became the choice of children, young people, and families, ensuring all safety conditions. This quality was also recognized by several institutions that included visits to our pools in their leisure activity programs.

Visitors enjoyed the different pools, from the children's pool to the diving tank, as well as the lawn, bar, and terrace. The sand area once again hosted traditional beach games such as football, volleyball, and racket challenges.

The Rio Maior Swimming Complex has been awarded the "Portugal a Nadar Seguro" Quality Seal by the Portuguese Swimming Federation, certifying compliance with the Health Directorate's hygiene and safety standards. This seal covers all the pools in the Complex, including the Outdoor Pools, reflecting our commitment to high standards of quality and safety.

The water quality control plan includes 4 bacteriological tests per month for all pools, whereas legislation requires only 2. The tests are carried out by a certified company and by the Regional Health Administration. In 2025, the results were 100% compliant, with no contamination detected. The results are always available for public consultation at the Swimming Complex reception.
