Jadel Gregorio and his coach, Antonio Carlos Gomes, are in Rio Maior until 12 February. Jadel is a Brazilian triple jump champion, holder of the south american record with 17.90 meters. In this days he is recovering from a surgery and preparing for the Olympic Games in London.
The curriculum of this athlete is impressive, especially the 17.90 meters obtained in 2007. With this mark, topped by an inch a record of João Carlos de Oliveira in 15 October 1975, in the Pan American Games.
In the Athens Olympics Games in 2004 reached a 5th place while in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, was 6th where the Portuguese Nelson Évora win the gold medal.
This is the first time that Jadel and his coach are on the Rio Maior Sports Centre.
