TWO WEEKS TO GO UNTIL THE ASOC EUROPENA FORUM 2026

There are just two weeks left until Rio Maior welcomes the European high-performance community for the ASPC European Forum 2026.

This will be the first Association of Sport Performance Centres (ASPC) Forum held in Portugal, marking a significant milestone for Rio Maior's positioning within the European high-performance sports landscape.

From September 23 to 25, 2026, the city will serve as a meeting point for leaders and representatives from High-Performance Centres, Olympic and Paralympic organizations, sports federations, researchers, coaches, athletes, and professionals from various fields—creating a unique opportunity to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices.

The ASPC European Forum 2026 is organized by the Rio Maior Sports Centre and the Sports Foundation (Fundação do Desporto), with the support of the Municipality of Rio Maior and entities within the national sports system.

With over 80 participants already registered—hailing from more than 16 countries across three continents—the Forum brings together a diverse international community ready for three days of reflection, networking, and cooperation regarding the key challenges of high-performance sport.

• Research, innovation, and development in High-Performance Centres
• Paralympic sport, inclusion, and specific needs
• Governance, management, and certification of High-Performance Centres
• Leadership, people, and sustainable performance
• Athlete pathways, dual careers, and support systems
• The role of National Olympic Committees and their relationship with High-Performance Centres during major events

It will be four days of knowledge sharing and cooperation, connecting the national landscape with the European high-performance community.
