WE ARE ALL VERY SURPRISED

In the last months many swimming clubs from the north Europe have chosen the Rio Maior Sports Centre as a destination for training camps. For periods of a week or more, youth and professional teams have enjoyed the best conditions for high performance sports training. These teams came from countries as Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany, France, England and Belgium. Recently several teams from France and Sweden were in Rio Maior, but also the Swimming Club Chemnitz from Germany, precisely between 2 and 16 February.

In the end of the training camp we spoke with Karen Kühnert Head Coach of the Swimming Club Chemnitz, who gave us a very positive opinion about the Rio Maior Sports Centre: "We are very fond. We are very surprised. Everything is very close and the people are very friendly. The weather also has a very positive influence." About Swimming Pools Karen said "have a lot of space, with very good facilities. The starting blocks are new, contrary to what we have in the home. Also there the people there were very friendly. We have everything we need, watches, space, excellent staff and excellent water. It's all good!"
